Berkshire Private Anaesthesia is a partnership of 20 consultant anaesthetists based in Reading, Berkshire. All members of the partnership hold consultant posts in the NHS, at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Berkshire Private Anaesthesia provide a 24/7 anaesthetic service primarily at Berkshire Independent, Spire Dunedin, and Circle Reading hospitals, in addition to duties at Royal Berkshire, Newbury and Windsor hospitals.

Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery is a highly cost effective form of treatment which aims to restore pain free mobility for patients. By restoring mobility, Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery can not only help people stay active for longer, but deliver major economic savings; enabling people to return to work, or live more independently.
Given the growing musculoskeletal disease burden, and the transformative impact surgery can have for the right patients, we believe surgeons, commissioners and colleagues across the NHS should work together to increase surgical capacity.
BESS is the main organ of communication and education for shoulder and elbow surgeons in the UK. We exist to promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, so it may specifically advance education in shoulder and elbow surgery and develop the discipline further.
Primarily, we do this by holding an annual conference each June. From 2017, an instructional course designed to compliment the annual meeting will be run alongside it. We also fund educational activities through our fellowship awards and we are at the forefront of research into shoulder and elbow surgery, having co-sponsored a James Lind Alliance to establish the top 10 research priorities for surgery for common shoulder problems . In recent years, our members have been developing BESS Patient Care Pathways, specifically designed with patients and clinicians in mind. In short, we bring together some of the greatest minds in shoulder and elbow surgery to investigate, educate and discuss the discipline.
Core Body Clinic Ltd is a specialist physiotherapy, pelvic pain, back pain and sports injury clinic with locations in Reading at the Sports Park, University of Reading on Shinfield road (RG2 7BW) and also Chapel Hill in Tilehurst (RG31 5DG). Our clinics are within easy reach of Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham boroughs. The clinics were set up by Adrian Wagstaff who is a highly trained physiotherapist with experience in musculoskeletal, elite sports physio and men's health physiotherapy. At Core Body Clinic we provide treatments for male, female and adolecent patients suffering from general injuries, sports injuries and pains affecting the back and body. We have a highly specialised clinics providing sports physiotherapy, spinal extended scope diagnosis, rehabilitaiton and sports therapy/massage.
